Man brutally kills his mother and father in Makueni

Police in Makueni have arrested a man stabbed his mother and father to death at their home in Kwa Muiu village, Makueni County.

Confirming the Wednesday morning incident, Makueni Police Commander Joseph Ole Napeiyan said the man aged 100 years and his 96-year-old wife were stabbed several times with a knife and hacked to death with a panga.

The suspect is reported to have attempted to commit suicide but was rescued and taken to Kilungu Sub District Hospital.

Police officers visited the scene before transferring the bodies to the same hospital’s mortuary.

The suspected is set to be charged with the two murders.
