Speaking during the funeral of Ann Nyatoro Ndung’u, the mother of the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) Member of Parliament Kanini Kega, Gachagua noted that a united Opposition will be key in ousting President William Ruto.
He also cautioned Sifuna against traversing the country using choppers, claiming that the government may go to extreme lengths in silencing dissenting voices.
Further, the former Deputy President noted that he would decisively deal with the betrayers of the Mt Kenya region after his scheduled London trip, warning that those who sell the community to 'Kasongo' would face dire consequences.
"We must deal with betrayers, those who are selling our community, we must deal with them, we must fix it. We must vote out all those who are selling out our community. When they walk with Kasongo when he destroys our homes in Nairobi, killing our children, and they're praising him, we must deal with them," he noted.
In his remarks, Senator Sifuna also noted that the only formula to win the 2027 presidential elections would be to unite all Opposition members.
"But Mheshimiwa Riggy G, we are convinced that there is no other formula other than a united ticket against William Ruto, so whatever needs to be done, kama nikusamehe.
