All set for fourth edition of electrifying Nightmare in Nairobi boxing fiesta

The Nightmare in Nairobi series has played a key role in reigniting passion for boxing in the region, steadily building momentum and raising standards within the sport.
This latest edition promises glitz, glamour, and high-octane action in the ring. With a stacked fight card, Nightmare in Nairobi IV could well be the biggest boxing event in Kenya yet.
Headlining the night is fan favorite George Onyango, who is determined to cement his status as the top super welterweight boxer in East and Central Africa. Standing in his way is Tanzania’s formidable Benjamin Mchunguzi, boasting a solid 5-2-0 record.
Onyango has expressed confidence ahead of the bout, citing the best training camp of his career and promising fans a thrilling showdown.
“This has been the finest camp in my pro career. I’m ready to put on a show on the 15th.
"My body is performing and recovering well thanks to performance science introduced by Kalakoda, including steam baths and massages. Come May 15th, it’s all fireworks fans will be on their feet.”
Elsewhere on the card, internet sensation Sam Kugeluk, popularly known as “Mufasa,” faces Otieno Owenga in what promises to be an entertaining clash. Rising star Abdi Beshir will be looking to maintain his flawless record after recently signing with Kalakoda Promotions.
Meanwhile, knockout artist Martin Achebi returns to the ring, eager to deliver another viral moment.
According to Marvin Obuya, Head of Boxing at Kalakoda Promotions, the event will be a complete entertainment package both inside and outside the ring.
“We urge fans to turn up in large numbers to support our local fighters. We have international fighters coming in from as far as Croatia. It will be a full experience, with boxing and entertainment combined.”
Adding to the spectacle, renowned Kenyan artist Khaligraph Jones is set to perform live, bringing an extra layer of excitement to the night.
The event will be held at Mass House along Ngong Road, which will transform into the epicenter of boxing action.
With a red carpet welcome for dignitaries and fans alike, a well-prepared arena, professional officiating, and fully conditioned fighters, everything is in place for a historic night.
All roads lead to May 15 a night where Nairobi becomes the heartbeat of boxing in the region.
