Six more bodies were on Thursday exhumed
from Shakahola Forest in Kilifi County bringing the official death toll to 264
persons.
Nineteen of the victims have since been identified by their kin while 613 persons are yet to be accounted for and remain missing.
A total of 93 DNA samples have also been collected during the third phase of the exhumation process which resumed on Monday, June 5.
Persons that have been rescued from the forest stand at 95 while 45 people remain behind bars in connection to the Shakahola massacre linked to self-proclaimed Pastor Paul Mackenzie of the Good News International Church.
The exhumation process will continue on Friday.
