His late wife was hacked with a panga at their Nguutani home on October 1, 2022.

A month later, his 20-year-old son was also killed after he was attacked while on their family land.

The deceased had been sick for two years and when all these killings happened, he was on his hospital bed.

Musyoka died with a desire that the killers of his loved ones will be brought to book.

"It is someone well known to us and is doing this because he is monied and has vast connections," Musyoka said on January 4 during the burial of his 20 year old son Brian Ndana.

His colleagues eulogized Musyoka, who joined the Defence forces in 1986 as a very hardworking, dedicated loyal and patriotic officer who interacted well with both his seniors and juniors.

The area assistant chief, Simeon Kavive said the matter is under investigation after several suspects were arrested.

Kavive also urged locals to stop living in fear as security within the area has been beefed up

"We have intensified patrols in the area so there's no need for locals to live in fear," said Kavive.

The administrator also condemned the cruel acts urging the locals to work closely with the administration in order to completely address the issue of insecurity.
