Githurai market traders are protesting over the poor condition of the market that has now emerged as a dumping site.

The traders are alleging that the Kiambu county government has failed to deliver services despite paying their levies.

They have, therefore, announced that they will not remit any more levies and taxes to the county government until it performs.

The Member of Parliament for the area Esther Gathogo quelled the situation and accused the county government of laxity and mentioned that it is high time they deliver to tax payers.

Amid all these, the ward representative Victor Aku-basu vowed that the matter would be resolved.
