47 injured after bus accident in Londiani

At least 47 people were injured after a bus they were travelling in veered off the road and landed in a ditch along Londiani - Muhoroni Road in Kericho County.
According to the Kenya Red Cross, the 47 were rushed to the Fort Tenan Sub County Hospital with the help of the County government of Kericho.
Seven other passengers on the bus escaped unhurt.
The scene of the accident has since been cleared by the police.
This comes amid calls by the government for road users to observe caution during the festive season, when many people are travelling to different destinations for holidays.
A week ago, at least 12 people perished in a grisly accident when a matatu they were travelling in crashed on the Machakos-Mbooni road.
