By Lynn Ndinda,

The story of Cleophas Mandela is all about making and preserving memories through his art - sculpturing.

This skill has taken him to places where he has met the high and mighty - his works dominate the day.

Apprenticing under his father has led him to dive into the world and work of sculpting, and Cleophas has built an impressive sculptor's portfolio with everything from personal clients to national monuments.

Mandela does not work solo but with the help of his fiancé Cheryl Nagawa. After moulding a statue, she takes over the details outline.

He is an all-rounded artist, who works on monuments, statues and also individual pieces.

To sculpt Kipchoge, Mandela says he had to study the face and most prominent postures of the record-holding marathoner.

His favourite work is a sculpture of Kenyan media personality Nick Ndeda.

He takes us through his workflow and introduces us to his business and life partner.
