A wave of intense anger and widespread outrage has erupted across the Kenyan internet following disturbing reports and video footage emerging from Forest Primary School in Kiminini Constituency, Trans Nzoia County.

The incident, which highlights growing tensions over illegal school levies, involves teachers allegedly assaulting a woman, who has now been identified as Dona Makena, when she visited the institution to seek clarification regarding contentious lunch fees for her younger brother.

Video recordings from inside the school staffroom capture a chaotic and violent scene.

In one video clip, multiple male staff members and individuals are seen forcefully grabbing, shoving, and wrestling the distressed woman near a large staff desk, despite her attempts to desperately pull away.

Another man in the room aggressively beats the window frames and gestures wildly before joining the physical scuffle inside the staffroom.

The commotion escalates as staff members engage in a heated, physical confrontation with Makena's father, who had attempted to intervene and protect his daughter.

The second video clip reveals the harrowing aftermath of the assault.

Makena is seen kneeling on the staffroom floor, crying hysterically with her wrists visibly bound together using a thick black cloth restraint.

Left immobilized and in severe physical distress, she repeatedly raises her bound hands into the air, pleading for help and crying out in agony while other indifferent staff members sit at their desks handling paperwork.

In a heartbreaking plea captured on camera, the visibly shaken Makena cries out about the severity of her injuries, stating, "I will take off my pants I'm bleeding, Dad see.. See what they've done to me, Dad see... They have just kicked me. I'm bleeding... My innerwear is bleeding... Let me show you... Naumia!"

In a rather distressing part of the escalation, Makena proceeds to pull down her pants, setting off a spark of frenzied reactions.

The appalling footage has triggered a massive storm on social media, with Kenyans online expressing deep disgust and demanding swift justice.

Citizens, parent associations, and human rights advocates are condemning the educators for resorting to mob violence, illegal restraint, and physical battery against a parent raising valid concerns.

One X user wrote, "The Teachers Service Commission and the Ministry of Education must strip these rogue individuals of their teaching licenses immediately. Violence against parents has no place in our educational institutions. What happened at Forest Primary is criminal."

Another one said, "Outraged by the horrific reports and videos coming out of Forest Primary School in Trans Nzoia. When did questioning unauthorized fees become a crime punishable by mob assault and restraint? All perpetrators must face the full force of the law! This is outrageous!"

On her part, X user Regina Nyaga wrote: "Watching that mother crying out in agony with her wrists bound while staff calmly sit at their desks doing paperwork is heartbreaking. No parent should ever face this kind of brutality for seeking transparency on school fees. #EndIllegalSchoolLevies."

Online commentators are now calling upon the Teachers Service Commission, the Ministry of Education, and the National Police Service to immediately arrest the perpetrators, revoke their teaching licenses, and enforce strict action against schools levying unauthorized fees on parents.

The Forest Primary School board is yet to issue a statement on the allegations.
