The body of the minor had visible cut wounds on the back and head, and was transferred to Longisa sub-County hospital mortuary in Bomet County awaiting autopsy.
Police said the bus from Mesabisabi Secondary School was heading from Narok to Bomet while the Narok Line Services matatu was driving in the opposite direction.
The accused, Musa Ole Sopia, also known as Ololunga, is suspected of being involved in several killings in the Ololulunga area of Narok South Constituency.
