The Dockers, who opened their campaign with a goalless draw against AFC Leopards, looked set to secure their first victory of the season before Sally Ali struck in stoppage time to earn the visitors a point.
Bandari took the lead in the 43rd minute when midfielder David Ambulu reacted quickly to a rebound from 3K FC goalkeeper Edwin Simiyu following a powerful effort from William Wadri, firing a low shot into the net.
Ambulu nearly doubled the advantage a minute later, but his effort missed the target as Bandari went into the break with a 1-0 lead.
The hosts continued to create chances after the restart, with captain Andrew Juma coming close four minutes into the second half. Juma connected with Alex Kipruto's cross, but Simiyu produced a fine save to tip his header over the crossbar.
3K FC gradually increased the pressure, with goalkeeper Joseph Ochuka denying Glen Kariuki in the 58th minute. The visitors threatened again in the 72nd minute when Amir Ndune's header from Neddy Moses' free-kick narrowly missed the target.
Bandari failed to capitalise on their chances through Kipruto, Abdalla Hassan and Lawrence Ouma, a wastefulness that proved costly in the closing moments.
The visitors eventually found the equaliser in stoppage time when Sally Ali capitalised on a corner kick that Ochuka failed to deal with, silencing the home supporters and rescuing a valuable away point for 3K FC.
Speaking after the match, 3K FC head coach Nicodemus Omasete praised his players for sticking to their game plan despite missing out on maximum points.
“We stuck to our game plan. Although we did not get all three points, I am happy our players worked very hard to earn that away point,” Omasete said.
His Bandari counterpart, Charles Okere, expressed disappointment with the result, saying his side had controlled much of the match but failed to convert its chances.
“We scored early and controlled much of the match, but we did not score enough goals to win. I am happy with the resilience our players showed against a brave 3K FC side, and I believe we will improve in our next match,” Okere said.
Elsewhere, Mara Sugar defeated Mombasa United 2-1 at William Ole Ntimama Stadium in Narok County. Kalvin Mwavali and Alex Imbusia scored for the hosts to secure the victory.
