Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Sunday arrested two suspected fraudsters following the loss of goods worth over Ksh.20 million by Bata Shoe Company.

According to the DCI, the duo is alleged to be among a group of fraudsters who presented fake egift vouchers to several Bata shops within Nairobi hence illegally obtaining the goods.

Sleuths from the Serious Crime Unite arrested the suspects at a shop owned by one of them in Keroka, Nyamira County.

Assorted Bata shoes worth over Ksh.7 million were also recovered from the said shop even as investigations continue for more arrests and recoveries.
