Police in Limuru have arrested two people who were allegedly found ferrying nine sacks of bhang in a car along the Maai Mahiu-Nairobi Road.

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said the Toyota Noah was being driven by 37-year-old Minja Jimmy, in the company of his agemate Bernard Nyakangi.

“Upon search, the vehicle was found to have been stashed with the sacks that were neatly covered with a black polythene paper,” DCI said in a Tuesday report.

The vehicle and the exhibits were escorted to Mutarakwa police post, where the suspects were booked in and later taken to the investigative agency’s Nairobi headquarters for further processing awaiting arraignment.
