The 1.7Billion Police Insurance

All the police officers in the country and their colleagues from the prisons service are comprehensively covered, after the government signed a 1.7b shilling deal with the pioneer insurance company. The insurance scheme also covers the families of the over 80,000 police officers and 20,000 prison service officers. The insurance covers death, temporary and permanent disability, as well as critical illnesses. Francis Gachuri has the details.
