Tana River MCA, Hamisi Idd, dies in road accident

Hamisi Idd, the MCA for Chewani ward in Tana River County, died in a road accident at Kanagoni area on the Garsen-Malindi highway on Saturday morning.
The body has been taken to a mortuary in Malindi.
Idd was a first-term MCA elected under a UDA party ticket.
Before his election, he served as a bodyguard for the governor of Tana River.
Condolences streamed in from politicians following the death of the MCA.
UDA Secretary General, Cleophas Malala, took to Twitter and wrote, "This morning, we receive the sad news of the untimely demise on Hon. Hamisi Iddi Deye, (Ndoyeni) our member of County Assembly, Chewani Ward, Galole Constituency, Tana River County. His death, a result of a grissly road road accident along the Garsen highway."
