Mbooni Girls High School in Makueni County has temporarily released students to return home following reports of stomach-related illnesses suspected to be linked to a diarrhoea outbreak within the school.
The school administration has asked all parents and guardians to pick their children as sanitation and health assessments continue.
This, however, comes amid travel disruptions in the nation amid fuel price hike protests.
Limited public transport services have been observed along different routes, with many commuters walking to their destinations.
