Student’s car burnt down at Daystar University – VIDEO

A car belonging to a student burnt down on Wednesday after a fire broke out at Daystar University Nairobi Campus.

Confirming the incident, the institution’s Chief Security Officer Major (Rtd) Steve Leakono said the fire occurred after a transformer exploded at the parking area.

“The incident was successfully responded to by our students and staff, Unfortunately one vehicle belonging to our student was burnt,” said the Chief Security Officer in a statement.

It could not be immediately established what caused the 4.20pm explosion.

However, Kenya Power technicians were deployed to the scene to contain the situation and establish the cause.
