Igembe Central Sub County Deputy County Commissioner Buxton Mayabi is advocating for the drilling of water boreholes in dry and arid regions to allow efficient water flow within the Sub County.

“We have partnered with Water Resource Management Authority (WRMA) and Water Services Trust Fund to help with the initiative of drilling water boreholes in the Sub County,” he said.

Mayabi added that the initiative would assist locals in the region in their domestic and farming endeavors.

He further urged on the involvement and help of the National Government in County affairs, as it would help in developing the county.

“We intend to team up with the National Government to introduce services such as mobile registration to help ease up the ID registration process in order to allow the residents to exercise their democratic rights in the upcoming elections,” he added.

Mayabi was speaking at Kangeta in Igemba Central.
