Royal Media Services MD Wachira Waruru mourns journalist Catherine Kasavuli

Royal Media Services Managing Director (MD) Wachira Waruru has mourned the death of veteran TV journalist Catherine Kasavuli who passed away early Friday morning after a long battle with cancer.
"I have learnt with pain and deep sorrow the passing of veteran news presenter Catherine Kasavuli OGW. For the last few months, I have followed in hope, prayer and encouragement as Catherine fought bravely, undergoing treatment through a lengthy admission in hospital. I am deeply saddened that she lost the battle earlier today," said Waruru.
"Catherine will be remembered as an outstanding trailblazer in the broadcast media industry in Kenya. From the early 90s she graced our television screens with her eloquent and authoritative presentation of news, rising to become one of the most compelling prime time TV personalities."
He added: "Catherine’s long career saw her join us at the Royal Media Services RMS where she worked as a news anchor and Head of Corporate Affairs. I remember her resourcefulness, cheerful attitude and great team spirit. She remained part of our RMS family and we mourn her passing."
"My condolences to her son Martin and the entire family. I wish you strength and consolation following this painful loss."
