Dutch midfielder Tijjani Reijnders completed a move from Manchester City to Saudi Pro League side Al Qadsiah on Wednesday in a deal reportedly worth 61 million euros ($71 million).

An AFP correspondent saw Reijnders arrive at the club's headquarters in Al Khobar on Tuesday ahead of the official announcement by both clubs.

Reijnders, who represented the Netherlands at the recent World Cup, has signed a contract that runs until 2031.

He still had four years left on his City deal, having joined the Premier League club from AC Milan in June 2025.

He trained separately from the first-team squad last week before missing City's 3-0 defeat by Arsenal in the FA Community Shield.

His departure is the latest change in a significant midfield reshuffle at City following Rodri's move to Barcelona. The English club have also been linked with Chelsea and Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez.

Reijnders made 47 appearances in all competitions under former City manager Pep Guardiola last season, scoring seven goals, as the club won the FA Cup and League Cup.

"I have been incredibly privileged to play for Manchester City, and I have relished every minute of my time here," Reijnders said in a club statement.

"To be part of the squad that won two such special trophies last season were both incredible experiences and achievements that I will savour forever."

Al Qadsiah are backed by Saudi state-owned oil company Aramco and coached by former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.
