The biggest football extravaganza in the world is in high gear, with all players eager to give the best for their national teams. Like any other tournament, football betting fans are busy looking at what the round of 16 will look like. Some of the questions they are asking themselves include who will make it to the round of 16? Who can each team play in the next round of the tournament?

If you are asking yourself these World Cup questions, you are in the right place. Here are some interesting insights:

The Hosts are out!

Qatar suffered the humiliation of being the first host nation to bow out of the tournament after two games. Canada was the second team to be knocked out of the competition after losing to Croatia 4-1. With most of the groups still wide open, World Cup betting for Kenyan players gets more interesting. So, who makes it to the round of 16?

The situation in the Groups Group A

Group A remains wide open after the last round of games. Netherlands and Ecuador are locked on four points, while Senegal are third with three points. The last matches see Ecuador play Senegal while the Netherlands play Qatar.

The Netherlands must win or draw against Qatar to qualify for the next round. On the other hand, whoever wins the game between Senegal and Ecuador qualifies. If they draw, Ecuador goes through. But Qatar can help Senegal qualify if they beat the Netherlands.

Group B

Group B is also wide open, with England leading with four points. The last matches will be like finals! England faces off with Wales while Iran goes up against the USA. As things stand, all teams can still qualify.

England must avoid a defeat against Wales to secure their qualification. A win will help them finish top of the group, while a draw will mean they rely on other results. Whoever wins the match between Iran and USA qualifies.

But, if England fails to beat Wales and Iran draws with Wales, Iran qualifies. If Wales beats England, they will need Iran and USA to draw for them to go through.

Group C

All Group C teams can still qualify. The last round of matches will see Poland play Argentina and Saudi Arabia face off with Mexico. Poland needs a win or draws to guarantee their qualification. Argentina must win to guarantee their qualification.

If Saudi Arabia wins, they go through, but a draw will mean they depend on the results of Argentina vs Poland game. Mexico must win and pray that Argentina loses.

Group D

France has already qualified after winning their first two matches. Tunisia, Denmark and Australia can still qualify. The last matches will be Tunisia vs France and Australia vs Denmark.

Whoever wins the match between Denmark and Australia will advance. But, if the match ends in a draw, Tunisia can qualify by beating France.

Group E

All the teams in this group can still qualify. The last round of matches sees Japan face Spain while Germany faces off with Costa Rica. Spain will secure a spot in the Round of 16 if they avoid a defeat in their final group match. If they lose and Costa Rica wins, they will be out of the tournament. If Spain loses and Germany wins, the second place will be decided by goal difference.

Japan must win to qualify, while Costa Rica must win and hope Japan and Spain draw to qualify. If Germany and Spain win, the Germans finish the group second.

Group F

Canada is out of the tournament after losing their first two matches. Croatia needs a win/draw against Belgium to qualify. If they lose, they will hope Morocco to lose to qualify. Morocco needs a win/draw and will also qualify if Croatia beats Belgium. On the other hand, Belgium must beat Croatia to qualify.

Group G and H

All the teams can still qualify. The teams have two games to play, and as this tournament has shown us, anything can happen.
