President Suluhu’s husband Hafidh Ameir dies

Hafidh Ameir, the spouse of Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu has died.
Vice President Deogratius Ndejembi announced that Ameir died on Monday 8.00 am while receiving treatment at Emilio Mzena Memorial Hospital.
Ndejembi said the first gentleman was receiving treatment for a heart condition.
“I extend my condolences to the President, family, relatives, friends, and all Tanzanians for this loss. Funeral arrangements are ongoing in Kizimkazi, Zanzibar,” said the Vice President.
