Police commence probe on hate leaflets spread in Eldoret

Uasin Gishu County Police commander Ayub Githonga has said police have commenced investigations to unearth and bring to book, perpetrators who spread hate leaflets in Kipkaren, in Uasin Gishu county.

Addressing press in Eldoret town, Gitonga said there was no need for residents living in the region to worry, promising that security has been beefed up as probe into the matter continues.

The matter  angered the local elders led by the chairperson of the  Agikuyu Elders Association, Kamunu Wa Kabari who said the despicable act is likely to antagonize the co-existence of communities living in the region

Kabari has appealed to the police to take the matter seriously by ensuring that all the culprits are brought to book.

The leaflets were found dumped and spread in Kipkaren,Yamumbi in Uasin Gishu county Sunday morning.
