The Dockers hammered giants Equity Hawks 97-53 before cruising past Stanbic Aces 79-44 at Makande Gymnasium in Mombasa.
The two victories saw KPA strengthen their position at the top of the standings, remaining unbeaten with just one game left in the regular season. They have accumulated 42 points from 21 matches.
KPA head coach Samuel Ocholla praised his charges for executing their game plan effectively in both matches.
“The games were very well executed. We stuck to the game plan we had prepared before the two matches, and it worked perfectly. We played exceptionally well, with the ladies moving the ball well and executing both defensively and offensively. We knew that if we maintained good defence and executed well on offence, the game would be ours to lose,” said Ocholla.
The coach believes the victories have provided the team with a timely boost ahead of the playoffs, although their immediate focus remains on their final regular-season assignment against USIU.
“Those wins are a big morale booster as we now prepare for the playoffs. But before we get there, our focus is on USIU. We have to finish our game against USIU first, then we will see who we meet in the playoffs. The mission remains the same: win one game at a time and make sure the trophy comes back home to Mombasa,” added Ocholla.
