Normal operations resume at JKIA after stalled Singapore aircraft removed from runway
A Singapore Airline Cargo plane stalled at JKIA runway on Monday morning.

Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen said on Monday evening that a technical team drawn from Kenya Airports Authority (KAA), Kenya Airways, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) and other agencies had successfully removed the aircraft from the airline.
"Operations have since resumed. We once again regret the inconvenience caused by this unfortunate incident," said the CS.
The Singapore Airline Cargo aircraft B747-400 aborted takeoff from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) when its engine caught fire leading to 11 tyres being punctured, forcing a temporary closure of the runway.
Meanwhile, KAA has advised passengers to contact their respective airlines for further information on the status of their flights.
