Naivas FC head coach Elvis Ayany has expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance following a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Kibera Black Stars in a National Super League clash at the weekend.
Coach Ayani is particularly impressed by his attacking unit,
singling out forward Davies Egesa, who delivered a match-winning performance by
scoring both goals for Naivas. The brace proved decisive in securing maximum
points in a tightly contested encounter.
“It was a good game, a local derby, and thankfully we won. I
want to credit the forwards for the good job. We are taking each game positively,
one at a time,” he said.
Despite the victory, Ayani acknowledged that there are still
areas his side must improve. The tactician admitted that recurring mistakes
from previous matches remain a concern and emphasized the need to address them
as the season progresses.
“We have to go back and work on defending set pieces. Every
game is important, and we are focusing on one match at a time,” he added.
The win provides a timely boost for Naivas as they continue
their National Super League campaign. The result sees them climb to eighth
position on the table with 41 points, strengthening their push for a higher
finish.
With momentum now on their side, Naivas will be looking to
build consistency in upcoming fixtures while sharpening their overall performance,
particularly in minimizing costly errors that could hinder their progress.
