Adrian Mwangi is the winner of the opening leg of the KCB East Africa Gold Tour after beating his closest opponent Emmanuel Nyakaberia at the par 72 Vetlab golf course on Saturday.

Mwangi carded 39 stableford points to beat Nyakaberia who carded 36 points.

“I am happy with my win here today. KCB Group have dome an incredible job kick starting the tour here at Vetlab. As a member, we could not let this win slip through our fingers. I can say my swing was there and the fine weather also contributed to my success,” Mwangi said.

In the ladies category, Caroline Mokeria playing off handicap 45 managed 37 points to edge handicap 39 Grace Katumbi on countback. Alice Adere settled for 3rd position carding 35 points.

The experienced lady golfer Schola Onsongo-handicap 34, scooped the staff winner award carding 37 points while her counterpart Allan Kirui-handicap 26 came in second with 34 points.
