Mumias Sugar Company’s legal services manager Ronald Joseph Lubia has been killed in a night attack at his Harambee home in Matungu, Kakamega County.

Police revealed that three gangsters armed with blunt objects, knives and guns beat him up and shot him before attacking his wife.

“They stole a vehicle, four phones, television, sound system and Sh5,000,” said Matungu OCPD Paul Kiprono, “but the sound system has been recovered at Kabula in Bungoma County.”

The Mumias manager, who has only worked at the sugar company for two years,  was pronounced dead on arrival at the St. Mary’s Hospital in Mumias.

Police are following up on leads to unravel the motive behind the killing of the manager.

The manager’s body has been moved to St Mary’s Hospital mortuary.
