MP Peter Salasya: I am looking for a woman with these qualities

The youthful legislator, who is not in a hurry in this mission, disclosed that he is looking for a God-fearing woman and one who will support him in his political venture.

"I am just looking for a very prayerful woman, very young girl, focused girl, supportive girl, presentable and must be able to speak to the people in the countryside. Are you willing to join me we go look for votes?" he told The Standard.

He further maintained that he cannot be easily swayed into making an imprecise decision during his search for a wife. 

"I'm an exposed man. Kwani naeza pelekwa pelekwa hivi. I am an MP and you know I have convinced people that I am a very intelligent person. I am strong," he said.

MP Salasya hit the headlines after the August 9 2022 General Election results were announced, surprising many by garnering 12,140 votes under DAP-K party against ANC’s David Wamatsi who garnered 9,043 votes in his respective constituency.

Termed as an underdog in the parliamentary race, the former Egerton University student leader told Citizen Digital in an earlier interview that he was funded by his political party's boss and well wishers to run campaigns in the region. 

He had unsuccessfully vied for the same seat in 2017 as an independent candidate.
