South Africa’s new president Cyril Ramaphosa has managed to keep his family from the public spotlight and thus the question who is the South Africa’s first lady?

Cyril Ramophosa’s better half is Dr. Tshepo Motsepe, a Kwazulu Natal graduate with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and a Master of Public Health [MPH] in Maternal Child Health and Aging from the Harvard University.

Unlike Jacob Zuma’s four wives, Dr. Tshepo Motsepe will not share her 1st lady crown with a co-wife as she is the only wife.

First lady Tshepo’s professional experience has mostly involved community based project on children and women and also a focus non governmental organisations.

She is the chairperson of the African Self Help Trust which focuses on Early Childhood Development and Education, the patron South African Civil Society for Women’s, Adolescents and Children’s Health (SACSoWACH) and a former board member Students Sponsorship Program (SSP) .

Mrs. Tshepo has led a private life in spite of coming from a family of billionaires, the Motsepes. She is the sibling to Business Moguls Patrice Motsepe and Bridgette Radebe who is married to Minister Jeff Radebe. The South African reports that the power couple have four children who also prefer a quiet private life.
