The Pinnacle Kigali, a luxury boutique hotel in Rwanda,
has been named among TIME Magazine’s
“World’s Greatest Places of 2026,” a curated annual list recognizing 100
standout destinations offering exceptional experiences across the globe.
Founded by Rwandan and Ugandan
entrepreneur Sheila Kyarisiima, The
Pinnacle Kigali has evolved from a private family residence into an exclusive,
women-led ultra-luxury retreat.
The nine-room property is perched on the Rebero Hills in Kigali, offering panoramic views of the city
alongside a high level of privacy and personalized service.
Located approximately 10
kilometres from Kigali International Airport,
the hotel provides seamless travel experiences, including VIP airport
meet-and-greet services and private transfers.
These include electric vehicle options aimed at reducing
environmental impact while maintaining comfort.
The property features a range of
high-end amenities designed to elevate guest experience. These include a Dolby
Atmos private theatre, a heated saltwater infinity pool with a sunken bar, and
the Ishami rooftop restaurant and bar, which combines fine dining with
expansive city views.
Accommodation at The Pinnacle
Kigali comprises nine luxury rooms and a signature Pinnacle Suite, all designed
as tranquil spaces with sweeping outlooks.
The hotel positions itself as an ideal destination for both
pre- and post-safari stays, as well as urban leisure.
Beyond the property, guests can
access curated travel experiences arranged by the hotel’s concierge, including
gorilla trekking and safari-style itineraries. For select journeys, helicopter
transfers can be arranged, subject to operational conditions and park
regulations.
The hotel also incorporates
sustainability measures into its operations, including solar-powered energy
systems, rainwater harvesting, grey water recycling, and on-site water
purification systems aimed at eliminating single-use plastics.
