Misori, who has been accused of betrayal by a section of KUPPET executive members said the members are hypocritical.
He said they called off the strike as the executive council after wide consultation with members and after the Teachers Service Commission agreed to meet their demand.
“The mandate we executed was not the mandate of Akelo, Akelo speaks on behalf of the executive board,” said Misori.
The KUPPET Secretary General said the county executive members who are members of the National Governing Council during their last meeting gave the executive board the authority to negotiate with the Teachers Service Commission and sign a return to work formula.
Misori said he is surprised that some of the KUPPET members who have the executive board authority to negotiate with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) are the people who are now faulting the board for calling off the strike.
He said the union leadership managed to reach an agreement with the TSC on a number of issues which made the teachers go on strike.
Misori has appealed to the teachers not to give up saying that they are going to pursue their demands until they are all achieved.
