Kisumu: Suspected burglary duo arrested, stolen electronics recovered

Police in Kisumu Central Sub-County have arrested two suspects believed to be behind a string of burglaries reported in the upscale Milimani neighbourhood.
The pair was intercepted following a tip-off, with officers catching them in the act as they loaded suspected stolen household goods into a vehicle.
According to police, the suspects attempted to escape but were quickly apprehended.
A range of items believed to have been stolen were recovered at the scene, among them a 65-inch television set, assorted electronics, gym equipment, a CCTV camera, cool box, solar panel, projector and other personal belongings.
Investigators have also linked the two to an earlier break-in at the same residence, where laptops, a gas cylinder and various dumbbell weights were reported missing.
The suspects are currently being held at Kisumu Central Police Station and are expected to be arraigned once investigations are complete.
The vehicle used in the alleged burglary has been seized as part of the ongoing probe.
