Kisumu: Investigations after body of an assistant chief dumped inside a culvert

Police in Seme sub-county have kicked off investigations following the mysterious death of an assistant chief whose body was found dumped inside a culvert near Kolenyo Market.
The body of John Olum, 58, of East Katieno Sub Location was discovered by a passer by at 6.30 a.m. on Wednesday.
South Central Seme location chief Caleb Apondi who has confirmed the incident, says the body was positively identified by a team of security officers who arrived at the scene.
The cause of his death is yet to be established; however, the body had visible strangle marks in the neck.
The body has been taken to Kisumu County Hospital for a post-mortem.
