Kenya Tchoukball Team Gears Up for the 3rd African Tchoukball Championships

Nairobi, August 7, 2024 – The Kenya Tchoukball Team had a
practice session on Wednesday as they familiarized themselves with the pitch
ahead of the highly anticipated third edition of the African Tchoukball
Championships.
The event, set to take place from August 8th to 12th, 2024,
will be hosted at the Kasarani Gymnasium in Nairobi, Kenya.
The championship is scheduled to kick off on Thursday with
an intensive capacity-building program for match officials and coaches,
ensuring that all participants are well-prepared and equipped with the
necessary knowledge of the game.
The official tournament matches will commence on August
11th, continuing through to August 12th.
Kenya is proud to host this prestigious event, which has
already seen the arrival of 16 teams from various countries. A total of 22
teams are expected to compete, showcasing the growing popularity and
competitive spirit of tchoukball across the continent.
In preparation for the tournament, today's team Kenya's
training session included rigorous drills and strategic planning.
The coach expressed confidence in the team's readiness and
enthusiasm, highlighting the hard work and dedication displayed by the players
in the lead-up to the tournament.
The President of the Kenya Tchoukball Federation emphasized
the significance of hosting the championships and the positive impact it will
have on promoting the sport locally and internationally. Meanwhile, the
President of the International Tchoukball Federation shared his excitement
about the tournament and the future of tchoukball in Africa.
