National carrier Kenya Airways has recorded a Ksh.513 million half-year profit breaking a 10-year loss-making streak.
According to Kenyan Airways CEO Allan Kilavuka, the profit is pegged on reduced exposures from foreign currency fluctuations and the restructuring of its loans by the state.
The growth represents a 102% rebound from the Ksh.21.7 billion loss that the airline posted in a similar period last year.
