Joseph Cutz: How I was picked to shave IShowSpeed on his Kenya visit

With a physical Kinyozi in Lavington, Joseph Cutz has been shaving Nairobians diligently, from ordinary citizens to politicians and celebrities.
He uses social media, especially Instagram, to market his work. This platform came in handy recently when he received a DM from someone who wanted to know more about his work.
"I checked my DM and someone was asking about my work and my rates. He then went on to ask me if I can shave iShowSpeed," Joseph says.
That is when it hit that it was actually Speed's manager who had reached out to him. The manager wanted Joseph to keep the conversation as private as possible.
"He told me that I should not share anything until after Speed is out of the country. I promised him I would do that," he says.
When Speed got to Kenya, Joseph was called to the hotel where they were residing, and gave him and the entire crew a cut.
"Speed is a very easy person. He was jovial throughout, he took videos and shared them on his socials. He also told me to take as many as I could," he adds.
The barber says that moment was the highlight of his career, and he looks forward to shaving more people and expand his business.
"I shave everyone. This year I look forward to shaving President Ruto. I hope it will happen," he says with a smile.
