KANU National Chairman Gideon Moi has appointed 27-year-old Manasse Nyainda as the party’s new Director of Communications.

Mr. Moi, in a public statement released on Friday, tasked Mr. Nyainda with revamping the party’s public profile by putting into place timely and effective communication policies.

The youthful Mr. Nyainda will also be mandated with providing the party as well as Mr. Moi with technical communication support.

“The 27-year-old is a versatile journalist and public relations practitioner with expertise in strategic communication, mainstream and digital media operations,” the KANU boss said in the statement.

“Mr. Nyainda has been tasked with offering technical communication support and advisory to the Party and the National Chairman through timely and effective communication of policies, programs, and activities aimed at enhancing their public profiles. I congratulate him on this well-deserved appointment.

The youthful new Communications chief, in a subsequent conversation with Citizen Digital, expressed his gratitude to Mr. Moi for the opportunity to serve in the role, further reaffirming his commitment to execute his duties responsibly.

Mr. Nyainda revealed that he has served the former Baringo Senator in various roles for over six years now, crediting him for being “a person who believes in merit and consistency.”

"I have worked for the party, and by extension the National Chairman for over six years now. Through the guidance of other senior officials, I remained loyal, focus, patient and hardworking. I am glad that being principled has come to pay," he said.

"I commit to remaining devoted and use my expertise in journalism and public relations to promote the brand and image of KANU and Gideon Moi in preparation for the 2027 general elections."
