Expectant girl kills herself, cites frustrations from mother and grandma

Pap Onditi location Chief Charles Ogolla says the deceased’s body was found on Wednesday dangling from the rooftop of her granny’s house.

He says the girl who completed secondary school last year at Rae Girls School also wrote in the note that she was two months pregnant.

She also indicated that she was waiting to join a university but neither the granny nor the mother was concerned and that she opted to take her life to lessen their burden.

Chief Ogolla says police from Pap Onditi arrived and took the body to the morgue and kicked off investigations into the matter.

The chief urged residents of the sub location to normalise seeking alternative solutions to problems that they are facing.
