Driver on the run after deadly accident along Kisii-Nyamira highway

Police have launched a manhunt for the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a deadly accident along the Kisii-Nyamira highway.
According to police officers in Nyamira, the incident saw a 28-year-old man hit by the vehicle.
Central Kitutu Chief Evans Nyang'au said the accident happened at Nyabioto area.
The late Brian Nyaboga Onwong'a, a resident of Nyakongo village, was hit by the vehicle at around 9 pm.
The driver of the ill-fated vehicle fled the scene moments after the accident.
The body of the deceased has been moved to a nearby mortuary.
Meanwhile a search for the driver of the vehicle is ongoing.
