CFAO Kenya has deepened its investment in agricultural mechanisation with the opening of a new Case IH agricultural machinery showroom at Mnazi Mmoja in Mombasa, signalling growing confidence in Kenya’s farming sector and the coastal region’s role in food production.
The facility, described as
one of the largest recent investments in farm equipment infrastructure at the
Coast, brings world-class mechanisation solutions closer to farmers, reducing
reliance on imported equipment and long supply chains.
Vincent DeLassange, Vice
President for CNH Middle East and Africa, said Kenya remains one of Africa’s
most dynamic agricultural markets, noting that the Mombasa facility
demonstrates long-term commitment to food security.
“We are keen to build
partnerships with Kenyan farmers and support the country's agricultural
transformation through world-class technology and continuous technical
support,” he said.
CFAO Group Chairman and
Country Delegate Ambassador Dennis Awori said the showroom reflects confidence
in both Kenya’s agricultural potential and Mombasa’s position as a gateway to
the wider East African region.
“This world-class facility
demonstrates our long-term commitment to supporting Kenya’s farmers with the
technology and services they need to compete globally. The mechanisation is key
to food security, job creation and rural prosperity,” Awori said,
Mombasa Deputy Governor
Francis Thoya said the project aligns with the county’s push to attract private
investments that enhance yields, create jobs and strengthen food security.
The showroom will stock a
wide range of Case IH tractors, from compact models for small-scale and
speciality farming to high-horsepower machines designed for large commercial
operations. The portfolio spans 55 to 700 horsepower, offering farmers greater
choice across diverse farming systems.
Beyond tractors, the
facility will supply implements such as ploughs, disc harrows, sprayers and
planters, supported by factory-trained technicians and genuine spare parts to
minimise downtime.
