British Grand Prix stays on MotoGP calendar until 2028

MotoGP has extended its agreement with Silverstone, which stages the race, to cover the 2027 and 2028 seasons.
The British Grand Prix returned to Silverstone, which also hosts Formula One races, after a 24-year absence in 2010.
This year's British race will take place on Sunday –- the 12th of 22 races in the MotoGP season.
"This extension underscores our commitment to two-wheel racing," said Silverstone chief executive Stuart Pringle.
"This renewed partnership secures our place as the undisputed home of elite international racing."
Carmelo Ezpeleta, chief executive of MotoGP Group, added: "The UK has a rich motorcycle racing heritage and remains one of the most important markets for MotoGP.
"Silverstone provides a fantastic stage for MotoGP, 11 different winners in the last 11 Grands Prix hosted at the circuit is a testament to the quality, competitiveness and unpredictability of racing at the circuit."
