Brazil out of Copa America

Brazil were on Saturday stunned by Paraguay after a 4-3 penalty shootout sent them crashing out of the Copa America.
Paraguayan hero Derlis González right foot strike was enough to set them up against Argentina in Tuesday’s semifinals after two missed penalties from Brazil’s Douglas Costa and Everton Ribeiro.
The South American powerhouse were the clear favorites and took the lead through Robinho after just 15 minutes.
But a Silva late handling of the ball at the penalty area handed Paraguay a lifeline after center referee Cunha pointed to the spot.
FC Basle striker Gonzalez’s wasted no time and converted the penalty beyond Brazil’s Jefferson sending both teams to a decisive shoot-out.
Paraguay has never lifted the trophy since 1979
