Nominated MP Oburu Odinga has now been declared the winner of Orange Democratic Movement’s (ODM) Bondo Constituency’s primaries – this coming less than 24 hours after reports indicating that he had lost to sitting MP Gideon Ochanda were released.

Siaya County returning officer Joshua Anyona announced that Oburu, who is the elder brother of ODM party leader Raila Odinga, won the coveted ticket after garnering 15, 784 votes to sitting MP Gideon Ochanda’s 9,538.

Questions have, however, been raised about this recent announcement, with a section of social media users asking why Ochanda’s ‘victory’ had been nullified.
