Pedestrian killed in an accident along Bomet-Kisii highway
According to Bomet Central Sub-county Police Commander Musa Omar Imamai, the bus, traveling from Narok towards Kisii, failed to take sufficient precautions despite the high number of pedestrians crossing during the evening hours.
Omar noted that the driver, unfamiliar with the route, had been issued a temporary permit to use the Narok highway during the festive season.
The body of the deceased was taken to the Longisa Hospital mortuary. The accident caused a significant traffic snarl-up along the Narok-Kisii highway, which lasted for several hours before normal traffic flow resumed.
Omar urged pedestrians to prioritize safety by using zebra crossings and other designated areas.
