Woman arrested after biting and injuring teachers, students in row over homework

Police officers at Kirigi police station in Embu North arrested a middle-aged woman after she stormed Kirigi Primary School on Wednesday, attacking two teachers and two other students in an unusual incident.
According to the area chief, Lincoln Muthee, the school headmistress, Catherine Karimi, along with several other teachers, made a report at the police station saying that a parent had attacked four people in the school, injuring them.
The four, two teachers and two Junior Secondary students, are being treated at the Kianjokoma Level 3 hospital for varying degrees of bite injuries to their fingers.
The area chief told the media that the suspect, Charity Wanja, had been summoned after her son failed to complete an assignment they had been given in class.
