Two suspects were on Friday arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts to face multiple charges related to computer fraud.

Alex Kimaiyo Kiprono and Emmanuel Kipkoech Rotich were accused of unlawfully accessing bank accounts and illegally withdrawing funds.

In one notable instance, they allegedly breached the security systems of a local financial institution and transferred over Ksh.1.8 million from a joint account.

Following a request by detectives, the court allowed a five-day detention of Rotich for further investigations.

Meanwhile, Kiprono was released on a bond of Ksh.1 million, with an option to pay a cash bail of Ksh.650,000.
