Former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo killed in Naivasha road crash

Former Lugari Member of Parliament Cyrus Jirongo has died in a tragic road accident at Karai area in Naivasha.

Reports indicate that he was driving himself to his rural home in Lugari when his vehicle was involved in a head-on collision with a Climax Coach bus along the Nairobi–Nakuru Highway.

Naivasha DCIO Isaac Kiama confirmed the incident, saying that Jirongo died on the spot at around 3 am.

The body was moved to Naivasha Sub-County Mortuary pending a postmortem examination, while both vehicles were towed to the police station as investigations continue.
