Two more people killed by armed bandits in Baringo

According to police, the armed assailants ambushed the middle-aged men near the centre and opened gunfire indiscriminately, killing them on the spot.

The incident sparked tension in the area causing locals to flee amid reports that armed bandits are taking hostage the village.

This came barely hours after armed bandits attacked a family killing three of them including a man his wife and their two-year-old child. According to the area residents, the three family members were ambushed while heading to a pass-out ceremony in the area and sprayed with bullets.

The man died on the spot while the wife and her child succumbed to injuries as locals tried to rescue them.

The bodies of the deceased were moved to Baringo County Referral Hospital Mortuary.
