Sports PS Eng. Peter Tum has expressed strong confidence in Kenya's potential to clinch several medals at the upcoming Paris Olympic Games.

Speaking at Nyayo National Stadium after inspecting the ongoing renovations, Tum attributed his optimism to the meticulous preparations and motivation offered to Team Kenya ahead of the Summer Games.

We have been preparing for the Olympics like never before. When you look at the Team Kenya contingent of athletes that we have selected for the Olympics in Paris, France, the expectation for a high number of gold medals is realistic,” said Eng. Tum.

Reflecting on the comprehensive preparations undertaken, the PS expressed confidence in the team's ability to deliver outstanding performances in all disciplines they are participating in.

During the Team Kenya flag-off, the President emphasized on providing enhanced incentives to athletes, alongside the top-notch kits we have meticulously prepared for them,” he stated.

The preparation we have provided to the teas gives us optimism for good returns.”

Team Kenya are enhancing their training in Miramas, France, in preparation for the global competition set to be held between July 26 and August 11, 2024.

Kenya’s best Olympics medals haul was in Rio 2016, where Kenya garnered 13 medals; six gold, six bronze and one silver.
